Hi! My name is Carmen. I’m a full-time working mom of two girls and I’ve experienced first-hand the overwhelming stress and frustrations mothers face every day when it comes to finding reliable childcare.
As a mom, I often feel lonely, frustrated and desperate when it comes to childcare. Sick days, P.A. Days, provider vacations – they all add up to time I have to miss work or scramble to find family to babysit my girls.
The relentless effort to create a solution for mother’s just like you and I has been my driving force since day one.
I started Her Yes Club to help women find the support they need without the guilt or uncertainty that finding care online can sometimes bring. I hope it brings you peace of mind, comfort, support, and most of all, a lighter load to carry.

how it all began
HER YES CLUB’s ORIGIN STORY
a wake up call
After I had my first baby in 2019, I thought it would be easy to find a daycare. However, I quickly realized it wasn’t so simple. “I’m supposed to return to work in a few months but I can’t find anyone with availability,” was a comment people often heard me say as I frantically scrolled home daycare Facebook groups. It was stressful and time consuming, but eventually I found someone!
the cycle continued over and over
A couple years and another baby later, I was in the same desperate situation after our daycare provider announced she was changing careers and closing the proverbial doors to her home. The daycare search continued and I found myself in the same situation over and over.
losing sleep at 3 a.m.
Desperate to find care after arrangements had fallen through, I found myself scrolling Facebook groups at 3 a.m. on a Saturday, looking for care to start on the Monday when work began for another week. I felt so alone. However, little did I know, the struggles I faced would soon lead me to creating a solution.
the idea
I was always taught that if you wanted something that didn’t exist, to create it yourself. So one afternoon, while standing at my kitchen sink, I decided I would develop a solution to my problem. I had the idea to create a platform to help women find childcare. But deep down, I knew it was more than that. It was a method to empower women on multiple levels. Her Yes Club was born.
research, research + more research
Throughout 2023 I immersed myself in research, networking and learning as much as I could about childcare in Canada, Ontario specifically, and connecting with others who had experience in tech. I also had many late night Zoom calls with moms and childcare providers I met online after sharing my idea. Hearing their thoughts, experiences and feedback helped shape my plans.
ENTERED MY FIRST PITCH COMPETITION
I threw my hat in the ring! And although I wasn’t a finalist, I knew I belonged on the stage one day. I embraced networking with other female entrepreneurs and spent the day on multiple occasions attending Toronto based events for women in business.

In January, Her Yes Club was officially registered as an incorporated Canadian business!

After a couple failed attempts at development, I finally found a designer and developer who believe in the mission and understand what the Her Yes Club community needs. I’m proud to share that the platform is underway and still on track to launch in 2024!
