Her Yes Club aims to help independent childcare providers manage their business and help parents find care

Bowmanville, ON – With Ontario’s childcare crisis deepening, licensed daycare centre waitlists have more than doubled in some regions. According to CityNews, this leaves many families waiting up to six years for a spot. Independent home daycare providers are quietly filling this gap, offering flexible, community-based care. Yet many operate without digital tools, visibility, or administrative support, making it harder to serve families efficiently.

Created as a solution to a common problem among families

Her Yes Club, inspired by founder Carmen Doucette’s own challenges finding care for her children, is here to change that. The platform is Canada’s first home daycare management app built exclusively for independent home daycare providers. A sector that supports thousands of families and lacks dedicated digital infrastructure. Her Yes Club aims to expand access to childcare in the communities that need it most, by modernizing the childcare industry.

“Licensed centres serve just one in four daycare-aged children in Ontario, leaving too many families stuck on waitlists,” said Carmen Doucette, Founder of Her Yes Club. “Her Yes Club addresses this issue by connecting parents with independent providers and giving those providers the tools to run their businesses efficiently and with confidence. It’s time to bring visibility and support to this essential part of our childcare system.”

Designed for often overlooked small business owners

The daycare management app is designed for independent home daycare providers, many of whom are Registered Early Childhood Educators. It also allows providers to manage enrolments, track children’s information, communicate securely with families, and share photos and documents, while parents can find and connect with vetted local providers, all in one place.

Last week, the platform celebrated its official launch and ribbon-cutting in Bowmanville, hosted by the Clarington Board of Trade. Mayor Adrian Foster and Regional Councillor Willie Woo attended the event, which marked a major milestone for the start-up. It also highlighted the urgent need for childcare innovation and the role of home daycare providers in supporting working families and the local economy.

An innovative solution that tackles Canada’s childcare crisis

“We’re proud to celebrate the launch of a homegrown innovation that directly addresses one of the most pressing challenges facing families and our workforce today,” said Bonnie Wrightman, Executive Director, Clarington Board of Trade. “Her Yes Club is an example of the kind of bold, community-focused entrepreneurship that strengthens our region.”

The platform will release additional features this winter to help providers grow their businesses and strengthen relationships with families. Her Yes Club is available on the App Store and Google Play Store, offering free lifetime access to providers who sign up before the end of the year. To learn more, visit Her Yes Club online.
